About The ADHD Center of New York

You are enough, exactly as you are, and you can still grow and live fully.
For many, ADHD means daily battles others cannot see: constant overwhelm, missed deadlines, restless energy, and the frustration of feeling misunderstood. Too often, our clients have been dismissed or mismanaged. We are here to tell you: you are not the problem.
At The ADHD Center of New York, we lead with empathy and validation, helping you to release the guilt and shame that can be associated with ADHD and neurodivergence. We guide you toward meaningful change with a collaborative approach that is problem-solving focused, strengths-based, and grounded in evidence-based treatments like CBT, ACT, and CBT.
We also offer specialized care for frequently overlooked groups, including girls and women with ADHD, individuals with intellectual giftedness or a 2e label, and people navigating learning differences or autism.
Founded by licensed clinical psychologist Dr. Alisa Powers, The ADHD Center of New York draws on her decade of clinical leadership, research, and supervision to ensure every client receives the highest standard of care. Whether through one-on-one sessions, skills groups, or diagnostic assessments, we provide practical strategies to help you manage attention, stay organized, and improve relationships, all while feeling truly seen.
ADHD symptoms are often overlooked in girls and women even when it is apparent they are struggling.
